Putin knows Russian history. He knows that Russians like tough guys as leaders. Putin projects himself in the classic Russian tough leader mode ( sans murdering millions, so far anyway.) More problematic for the rest of us is how Vladimir acts out toward us. We should all keep in mind Bear baiting is a very dangerous game , especially when the bear your baiting has nuclear claws and teeth. Is Russia all that important that we need to be doing just that? Do we need a second act to the old Cold War? Maybe the MIC does but the rest of us are tired of our own Imperialists and their need to be tough guys. Or are we no different then the Russians in our admiration for tough guys? Hmmm...

Sure we admire the tough guys. Look at how the GOP extols Putin to the highest order. They wish he were in control of the USA. Scumbags that they are of course. I don't get this recent Russia - America saber rattling bs. I thought we were past that.

But still one has to wonder with all the saber rattling, which side is the GOP on? Putin being their de facto hero.
