The irony here is just too much to bear. How this man can look at himself in the mirror after saying stuff like this when he knows he's given away the store to the Fossil Fuel Barons and that its essentially game over climate wise for us at this pt.
It could be that he knows that his words are meaningless from the point of view of creating real change. This is a typical political vehicle, say what is needed or required and then act in the opposite direction. As far as the overall effect goes though, it's better to have a president at least admit it's going on rather than someone like an Inhofe whose denying is the stuff of endless jaw dropping.
