This song was written by a good friend of mine Rob Hyman of the Hooters. I love the song and I think Cyndi Lauper is a wonderful singer and performer. I've seen her perform live within the last 5 yrs. However, this video is one of the reasons I hate music videos. All non-stage performance type videos. IMO they take away from the music, because music should let your imagination soar. When a artist feels compelled to not only sing a song but show you what they think it means they lose me and they forever to some extent ruin the music. Movies, theater and Opera are about story telling, music by itself for me anyway, should be about the imagination of the listener, not the performer or musician.

I think it's an outstanding song - don't like the video at all, but really like Cyndi and especially like the Hooters.
