Tell me he didn't know her age, give me a f-ing break.
I am not happy to see the liberal elite running to defend him from his capture, with a potential extradition to the USA for legal action. I say equality under the law. There's no get out of jail free card if you make movies. The law is supposed to be impartial.
I actually find this aspect of liberal culture to be abhorrent. This is taking sides when there is no side to take.
The amazing thing is that there is a slew of famous females and females who should know better defending this guy.
Pathetic...
ZNET: Roman Polanski Has a Lot of Friends
The widespread support for Polanski shows the liberal cultural elite at its preening, fatuous worst. They may make great movies, write great books, and design beautiful things, they may have lots of noble humanitarian ideas and care, in the abstract, about all the right principles: equality under the law, for example. But in this case, they're just the white culture-class counterpart of hip-hop fans who stood by R. Kelly and Chris Brown and of sports fans who automatically support their favorite athletes when they're accused of beating their wives and raping hotel workers.
No wonder Middle America hates them.

"Middle America hates them because they're rich and the rest of us are growing poorer by the hr."
When I saw that the richest TV actor makes $875,000 per episode, I can understand. Its true they exist in a different social strata with its own rules. Occasionally they bump into the real world and do some small penance. Kobe Bryant goes about his business like nothing happened, so does Polanski.
