The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 49 degrees and sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley. The forecast is saying temperatures will be in the 60s all week long and cooler at night. That's weird, usually November is the cooling down further month. I've read we may have a moderate Winter but right now 60s in November for a solid week is noteworthy. I hope you had a good weekend, I ways pretty much away from the news on Sunday, my personal decision to just drop the misery for at least one solid day a week. Halloween was interesting, it seems like the rage in the little ones costumes are wigs. We saw lots of wigs on Saturday night plus to meet the costumed at the front door our dog was dressed in an alligator costume. Hey, in addition the Knicks beat the Wizards, it was a good evening.

At 8:30 a.m. ET futures are flat and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open in the flat to slightly lower area.

Many more third quarter earnings reports are due today. China is once again stalling with slowing factory production. As we know China is the manufacturing center of the globe. Looks like November is starting out with some restraint and constraints.

CNN: Stocks: 5 things to know before the open
Asian stock markets mostly ended with losses.

This comes as official data shows China's factory sector slowed for a third straight month in October.
