Fewer than 5 percent of Americans surveyed at the time believed that the United States should raise its immigration quotas or encourage political refugees fleeing fascist states in Europe — the vast majority of whom were Jewish — to voyage across the Atlantic. It's worse. Even after the War and the knowledge that we were in fact partially responsible for the holocaust , we still refused to allow many of the survivors in. Ironically, we did however allow many times that no. of Germans including ex. - Nazis to enter the country.
Why does this not surprise me. I'm thinking one of the reasons why the GOP is so afraid of the Syrians is because they know how easy it is for anyone to get a gun here.
Could be. Hell soon I think the GOP is going to pass laws making it necessary that every male own an AR-15 and know how to shoot it on full auto. Women not so much.
I was right, some GOP just expressed what I suggested. I posted the article on Wednesday around noon.
