Obamacare is nothing to brag about. If you've ever had to look at the kinds of policies offered it becomes painfully obvious that at best these policies can still bankrupt people who get sick. The worst part beyond how bad they are is that people are being "foced" to buy them or be fined. There is something distinctly wrong about this. I've heard the car Ins. analogies over and over , but they don't wash simply because you don't need to own a car, you cannot avoid owning your body. What it does is create a class of serfs that are basically tasked to pay so called Health Ins. Corps. for the right to have medical treatment. That is morally and ethically unjust and immoral. If it was so important to have to FORCE compliance with State power then it should have been a formal TAX added to payroll taxes or made a s a VAT ( like in Canada) to pay for Universal healthcare not Universal Health Ins. Obama got elected on a lie. He promised that he'd work for single payer , then reduced that to the Public Option and then tried to tell everyone falsely he didn't have the votes for either. In reality, we know from the testimony of Industry insiders the President and his gang sold out to the health Insurers a year earlier and promised to let them essentially write the law and that NO public option would be allowed. He did for the AMA, Big Pharma, and most of all the Health Ins. Corps. what BV$H 2 did with not allowing any negotiation on Drug prices. Both these men are morally responsible for all the Death and pain and suffering that has followed ever since. Americans have the most expensive Health Ins. system on Earth except for the one the wealthy have and the elites ( public and private.) Everyone else has been tossed under the wheels of the Plutocracy.

I went through a series of hospital stays last year including a big cancer scare with all kinds of imaging etc etc. This year so far I am healthy. I just finished paying off my deductible last month, several thousand in unexpected costs total over 1.5 years. You don't have to convince me that the medical industry/insurance industry is out of whack beyond belief. I do know that there are many systems in place in the USA that run people through the mill and ring them out for all their worth, that includes hospitals, prisons, employment, schools with student debt - when you add it all up our lives amount to a series of payments and commitments that we cant avoid. America is challenging, and on the other hand, we either get run over or we figure out how to make a meaningful life. That's the only thing I can say to anybody anymore, because the country is truly in tatters. Look at this stupid Confederate flag controversy - WTF - this is 2015 not 1865. How long does that bullshit have to keep going on.
