I wouldn't count Christie out quite yet. He still has the Koch Bros. in his corner and quite a few other gadzillionaires. They still like this guys Fascist mentality.
A political race is a matter of logistics and statistics. Off the top of my head I imagine 25% of the people support Christie, that's the diehard right who support all things GOP, the same people who gave Bush the Terrible their support. Then after that 25% it's a matter of carving out another 25%. So can that be done with negative ads and a calamity or two along with some phony promises...
