The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 27 degrees and somewhat sunny here in Upstate NY. The logos are predicting a rather chilly week with temperatures rarely if ever breaking above freezing and getting super cold at night. We can handle it though, our optimism is stoked with March on the near horizon and in less than two weeks a return to daylight savings time. I hope you had a restful weekend and now it's back to the weekly grind. Grind we shall.

At 8:20 a.m. ET DOW futures are modestly higher and the price of oil per barrel is slightly higher. The market is poised to open slightly higher.

According to what I'm reading it will be a steady as she goes type of morning. Not much economic news to report, so the potential for a flat type of day is there. Let's see if that comes true.

CNN: Stocks: Steady start to the week
...there's little economic or corporate news on the docket Monday.

... the G20...pledged to install policies that will add $2 trillion to the world economy over the next five years.
