The residents of the area are between a rock and a hard place. The oil leak continues although allegedly at half the pace (and we are all skeptical about that number) and the area is losing employment as the disaster spreads and continues.
McClatchy: Gulf residents fear another impact of spill: lost oil jobs
"You can't stop. That's what we do here."
The state's Department of Economic Development estimates that suspending active drilling could result in the loss of 3,000 to 6,000 jobs in the next two to three weeks, and as many as 10,000 Louisiana jobs within six months.

They always hang everyone's job out to dry to not so subtlety threaten everyone. These are friggin nothing more then Corp. thugs. They destroy hundreds of thousands of people's lives and the entire coast's environment so what do they do, they double down by telling everyone if u don't back off us we'll make things even worse. Criminal assholes. But do u see anyone being threatened with jail time for this massive crime? If U or I so much as pissed into the Gulf in plain sight of a cop we do 5 yrs. in Mississippi if we were black or brown but if your a rich Corp. thug the Gov. will suck your dick in public like Haley did today. This is America today folks not a very pretty sight is it?
