I have NO personal debt. However, most people these days cannot live without some.
There's been a long drawn out media campaign to glorify being in debt - all those years of mastercard, visa commercials on TV and such.
Some people are waking up to it and living within their means unfortunately some people have no means, no assets, nothing, so they have no choice or they become criminals.
