The Market On Thursday

At 7:30 a.m. futures are moderately up, the dollar is down against the euro, pound, and yen, and oil is slightly down per barrel. Notice that the price of oil is rising again and heading towards $80. per barrel with it presently at $77.37 per barrel.

The market is having a small run lately as you know. Data on employment and inflation is due today.

CNN: Stocks set for higher open
The weekly jobless claims report from the Department of Labor is due before the opening bell.


After the market opens, reports on leading economic indicators and manufacturing in Philadelphia are scheduled to come out.
