Why, well just look. The Chinese are beating us at our own game. There is greater wealth inequality in Hong Kong and Singapore than in the USA and that is disgraceful. We are losing our edge in the world I tell you and it makes me sick.
We thought this recession wrecked millions of people and would naturally push us into position number one, especially with Wall Street gobbling up the money. Nope, didn't happen. China, man, they out USA'd the USA. Getting beat at our own game - now that is a wake up call.
Are you happy bringing home the bronze? Well are you?

Pathetic. As some of us have guessed we've returned to pre-20th century economic conditions. It's as if the TR era of trust busting, had never happened. Marx seems to have been right Capitalism 's natural tendency is toward a kind of modern feudalism and economic plutocracy, complete with huge and growing monopolies. We've even added a new twist now with Too BIG to fail banks and soon To beig to fail everything else. The State is in essence saying these people or Corps. are the winners of the game and as a prize for being kings on the hill they'll now become largely unregulated quasi- public entites with a hand in everyone's pocket. Essentially Socialism for the Rich and Capitalism for the poor. The rich get their profits guarenteed by the State and the poor and middle class get to carry their losses. It's a terrible system! Crony Capitalism married to a Fascistic warfare State.
Its a slanted form of democracy. The table is tilted to funnel everything into the pockets of the elite.
You are right, this term Too Big To Fail is a give away that is in its infancy. We'll get more of that.
You write - "The rich get their profits guaranteed by the State and the poor and middle class get to carry their losses. It's a terrible system! Crony Capitalism married to a Fascistic warfare State."
We live in a tiered society. We have all the signs of that except we hide it behind sitcoms and reality shows. The media reflects an image back at us which maintains our infantile understanding, and people seem to have lost a willingness to examine their condition. Critique has been supplanted by sports teams, violence, and on and on.
Yes, were all living in a kind of projection not reality anymore. Maybe, that's why reality TV series are so popular? It's also interesting that Vampire epics are so popular nowadays. It certainly is a time when we are being sucked dry by Vampire s in the form of Big Corps. Our country right is like a Hollywood set , nothing more then a facade from which behind the elite control everything we see and everything we do. It's a like the opening of the Outer Limits.. Remember the voice? We control the vertical and we control the horizontal DON't touch your dial!
