Which State Is The Worst

The recession has affected almost everyone. Some parts of the country have felt it worse than others and a few areas are relatively unscathed.

Michigan has the highest unemployment with a November 2008 unemployment rate of 9.6%.

Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Utah -- had the lowest unemployment rates in November, ranging from 3.2 percent to 3.7 percent.
