The Market On Tuesday

When profit turns to losses and millions of people are unemployed, its very difficult to maintain a sense of optimism. Investors are in a new hands off mode lately and the market is presently dropping like a metal balloon. SONY is posting horrible losses and up to this point had been a model corporation.

My personal hope is that the DOW can stay in the 8000 point range. Let's hope that long range sensibility starts digging its heals in.

Reuters: Stock futures point to losses on earnings fears
Stock index futures pointed to a lower open on Wall Street on Tuesday on mounting fears over corporate results, while a drop in oil prices is likely to weigh on energy stocks.
