The landscape in Amerikkka is littered with bodies. It's a battle zone that extends all the way into South America. In fact, it gets worse as you go South. The most violent places on Earth are between the Canadian border and Brazil. The other violent zones are in the Middle East where long wars are underway and tribalism is rampant.

Good point. The proliferation of guns including their easy availability in many places in the US, combined with the psychological factors mostly involving masculinity and masculine role modeling mixed with a violent culture, and a few other things I can't remember, has created a slaughter disease that we will be seeing even more frequently. These kids that are protesting from Florida are about to get a taste of the ultra slow moving stupidity of the far right. Those guys are now pushing mental illness and spotting potential offenders early as a 'solution', and that's not going to cut it down, it's not going to do anything. What infuriates me with this is that mental illness in GOP world, just doesn't happen. Mentally ill people in GOP xtian world just need a good bible, thoughts, and prayers and voila, better.
