Good morning. It is 36 degrees and it is sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts a cloudy day with temperatures in the 40s this afternoon. For many people the election victory of Donald Trump has caused a lot of depression and anxiety. For anyone who is experiencing that, consider this idea. Trump has won the presidency and brings with him an array of policies and negative emotion including racial and ethnic violence that are miserable. However, do you really want Trump to also take away your happiness? I say seek revenge by making the next four years the happiest period in your life. It doesn't mean you will ignore society and politics, no, this is about your personal level. Don't let him steal your mojo.
At 9:20 a.m. ET futures are slightly higher and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open slightly higher.
The bottom line is this. The stock market is on a bull run. Enjoy the ride because everything changes.
