The Market On Thursday

Good morning. It is 30 degrees and snowing here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts the temperature to go above freezing into the high 30s this afternoon and that we'll have snow and rain. It's not the greatest day for traveling around here, so drive slowly and give yourself a lot of car space between you and the next guy.

At 9:20 a.m. ET futures are flat and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open in the flat area.

Notice that the Obama administration is readying sanctions against Russia for meddling in our election, the bastards. Would you just look at what we are getting for a president. God help us. The sanctions seem to have no relevance as Trump will no doubt dismiss them within 24 hours of being sworn in. Trump is grateful as are his minions, elections be damned.
