The Market On Thursday

  Good morning. It is 20 degrees, partly cloudy, and windy here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the 20s this afternoon. Winter is here but good.

  At 9:15 the DOW is modestly higher and the price of oil per barrel is down just above $50 per barrel. The market is poised to open modestly higher.

  The Fed did indeed hike the interest rate on Wednesday and that move was not popular among investors. Notice that Yahoo is reporting a hack of 1 Billion accounts, that's a lot of accounts.

Investors were in a negative mood yesterday after the Federal Reserve hiked interest rates, which was widely expected.
