Trumpf sees no conflicts of interest. As far as he's concerned he owns it now and nothing or no one is going to get in his way. Sooner or later he'll bang up against Putin as well. This guy is a loose cannon rolling around the ship of state. This is a bad time to be in the military.
I agree, I think he needs a war to divert attention away from his conflicts which are a threat to his power. Like you, I expect a startling disaster where he can assert authority and make people feel afraid. Taking away a few rights, attempting to repress the press, it's coming.
