His appeal is as a SUCCESSFUL businessman in their view ,coupled with their utter contempt for professional politicians. That explains his win over his parties own professional pols even Govs and ex. Gov's and Senators etc. It also explains their vicious hatred of Mrs. Clinton who more than anyone has come to epitomize the DC "establishment of both parties." ( which she is.)

Except that Trump has now been a professional candidate for 16 months. So it's bullshit, they are looking with rose colored glasses, and most of these people know it. They even say, they say stuff like he a little rough or he's a mixed bag. Now what about this. Trump is all against the Iraq War right. So the people that support Trump, mostly Republicans of course are going to pull the lever for Trump yet in many states they are also pulling the lever for a congressperson or senator who was all in on the war! Can we spell hypocrisy and conflict of interest? So it's all bullshit, I think at the core it's just the usual red state blue state match to these people. Trump is a GOP, good enough, they don't care about anything he says. We're going to build that wall, blah blah blah, yeah right.
