Unfortunately, we saw one debate and DJ's following saw a different one as seen through the lens of their specific reality. In their reality, Trump was restrained and dignified for not attacking Bill Clinton's affairs because Chelsea was there. In their reality, she was too prepared and too stiff and bitchy. In their reality, he won on pts. the substance didn't matter. In their reality, Lester Holt was biased in her favor and asked DJ hostile questions and the mic was set up to make him sound bad ( the sniffling.) Oh and if you think his lousy performance hurt him in the polls your wrong the polls hardly moved. The debates will only matter for the polls if he does better in the next two and he will and my guess is he will surge ahead from there to the end winning the election by 1 %. Maybe.

It takes a few days for the polls to move, wait till Friday. See what happens then. This debate had Clinton with the third best winning percentage in a first debate since 1984. 1992 went to Bill Clinton, and 2012 to Romney. After they won those first debates, both Clinton and Romney gained in the polls. It takes time for the polls to show up the results of the debate. His followers won't budge, we know that. It's the few undecideds that count.

No movement yet. I'm afraid that like I said the debates will only serve tRumpf, not HRC. Why? because it's already baked into the cake that Hillary is the better debater so no surprise rise in the polls. Trumpf did as expected lousy no surprise there either and also no drop in the polls because he lived down to expectations. Now it gets really dangerous for Hillary because expectations for her are soaring and she can only drop once again like after the convention when she soared and then watched her lead fade away day after day. Her only hope of winning is that her ground game is as good as everyone says it is and Donald is unprepared for that day on the ground. Sadly, all of this feels like whistling past a graveyard territory, doesn't it?

I know it does to a certain extent, but she is presently maintaining. Five Thirty Eight shows her harshest numbers and those have held so far this week. See what NBC News/Survey Monkey looks like on Friday and Saturday. I wish I had a friend who was an excellent pollster. Still, switch the numbers, say Trump had the lead that she has and maintained it, how would you feel then? It's going down to the wire, hard to believe because Trump is so clearly unprepared, immature, ill informed, rude, divisive, hateful, lacking compassion or empathy, he's a mess, as we know.
