The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is 63 degrees and sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley. It looks like we are in for an exceptional day and a bright sunny warm week. We'll take it. I was listening to Trump's stump speech last night, he was talking to a crowd in Dallas. I was thinking that someone should take the speech apart line by line and show all the contradictions and baloney in it part by part. For example, Trump was talking about how he is financing his own campaign and turning down all kinds of money. He does not want to be owned by anyone, allegedly. Then he goes on to talk about how all the other candidates are taking big money from billionaires etc, and are owned. Okay so far, this is true to a degree. However because Ted Cruz is kissing Trump's behind all over the country, Trump waxes on and on about what a good man Cruz is. Yet let us remember that what, one or two billionaires are financing Cruz's campaign; exactly the type of thing Trump is allegedly against. I guess if you kiss Trump's behind, then it's okay to take money from special interests.

At 9:10 a.m. ET futures are slightly above flat and the price of oil per barrel is up. The market is poised to open in the slightly higher to flat area although let's see what happens.

Chinese equities had another tough day of it on Tuesday and this has put another wrench in the investment morning. The big news comes in a few days as the Fed will or will not make a move on base interest rates. It looks like we are in for a period of continued fumbling.
