Ocean Wildlife Declines

Science Daily: Ocean’s wildlife populations down by half
summary - A new report reveals an alarming decline in marine biodiversity over the last few decades. According to the report, populations of marine vertebrates have declined by 49% between 1970 and 2012, with some fish species declining by almost 75%.

Whose surprised? We've added 2 billion people in that period and over fishing is rampant all over the world. It will only get worse. Eating fish will become something only the rich do in 3 decades from now and then it will be farm raised fish. Wild fish will be rare and endangered. The wild fishing Industry will be gone.

Humanity is consuming itself into extinction. If we lose 50% of Ocean wildlife in the last 40 years how does that work 500 years from now? Will the oceans be dead zones? It's unimaginable.
