The Market On Thursday

Good morning. It is 68 degrees and rainy here in the Upper Hudson Valley. The weather logos are predicting a lot of rain right through to next week. Ebola remains very high on the news chart. We are witnessing developments each day, apologies, a new case, how to combat the disease, etc. I think the dam has burst, it's going to be hard to eradicate Ebola.

At 8:50 a.m. futures are massively lower and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market will tank at the opening bell.

The good news first - US first time jobless claims from the past week are now at a record low not seen in 14 years - 264,000. The bad news - it's all bad news. The correction continues and depending on how low it goes, the jobless claims will begin to swell. I will make a bold prediction though - at some point, the bleeding will end.
