The Market On Friday

Good morning. It is 45 degrees and rainy here in the Upper Hudson Valley. The rain is expected to clear on Saturday. Well I rushed through all of the work on my house necessary for the plumber to come today and do his work in reconnecting the heating system. But there's a little problem, it's raining and the rain prevents the PVC pipe from fusing properly. Some of the work has to occur external to the house. I was rushing around through the early evening last night completely exhausting myself and it turns out I didn't have to do that. The plumber is now rescheduled for Saturday.

At 9:00 a.. ET futures are slightly lower and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open lower.

Fear still seems to be dominating the market as investors now grapple with an Ebola case right down the road from Wall Street, literally. The fear from Ebola is of course at present over-stated but I did read an article last night which discusses how the virus could very well mutate into one that is in fact air born. I mean the virus has managed to get itself all around the world now, why not go through a few million quick mutations. Regardless, barring a late rally, it looks like Wall Street is in for a bummer day.
