The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is 45 degrees and overcast yet sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley. Rain is expected, we shall see. Jack Bruce has just passed away. All our Rock legend heroes are leaving us one by one. I always liked his voice, I thought he was a terrific singer on those early Cream albums. He had a lot of range and clarity to his singing. Rest in peace Jack Bruce.

At 8:50 a.m. ET futures are moderately higher and the price of oil per barrel is up. The market is poised to open higher.

Investors will be very interested to hear what the Fed says on Wednesday at the end of their two day meeting. The expectation that quantitative easing will have a final ending deadline is in the air. One wonders how that major news will affect equities around the world. Hold onto your hats, it could be a wild ride week.

CNN: Stocks: 5 things to know before the open
