If that's the best she could do of herself I wouldn't have wanted to see her before her make up went on.

I think that is a miniature - I would guess maybe 3 to 6 inches by 6 to 9 inches. People probably used these paintings like a snapshot, put it on your desk, something like that.

Jesus Glen, your remarks are amazing. 19th century woman paints self-portrait, 21st century man complains she isn't pretty enough.

Hey, Its not my fault she's ugly. No wonder she sent Daniel Webster a picture of her breasts, they were certainly nicer looking then her face. She knew it, that's why she probably sent them and not her portrait.
