To sum up where the E movement is today as compared to where we were 44 yrs. ago. The issues are the same except back then we didn't really know specifically how dire our situation really was and many of us thought there were easy solutions to cleaning up the mess Industrialism had already caused on the planet. We were very very wrong. Now we find ourselves facing possible extinction and the movement isn't really geared to take on this kind of challenge. A much more radical and militant movement is going to necessary if today's challenges are to be confronted and fought. I've yet to see that happening.

This is my personal opinion. Based on what we've seen over the past few years on how global warming is affecting small environmental systems globally, I suspect that research will reveal even more details. I also suspect that the information will get uglier and even more intense.
