The Market On Wednesday

Good morning. It is 43 degrees and rainy here in Upstate NY. Looks like the rain continues through the day. One thing we can say for this present time is that Upstate NY has plenty of water. As global warming intensifies and alters the weather patterns and temperatures around the globe, this area might sneak by on the issue of water. Water of course will become the critical substance over which many people will experience great suffering. This is already occurring.

At 8:30 a.m. ET futures are flat and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poisd to open in the flat to lower area.

Investors will continue to see a bevy of first quarter corporate reports and today the emphasis is on tech corporations. Tuesday was a day of gains and so far reports have been good enough to keep the DOW in a lofty area. Business is good, better than anticipated.

In economic news, the Census Bureau will release new home sales numbers from March at 10 a.m. ET.
