Argentina is still yet to be punished for its default earlier in the century. It hasn't been forgotten by the way. China and Russia both tried this when they became Communist States and guess what. Both ultimately failed and ended up paying off their respective foreign debts. You don't ruin your credit its rule no. one for nations and for people. You and I and our nation if it survives in any form is only as good as its word ( paper.) So I expect the Argentinians will eventually pay up or else. In the mean time they will probably deal with hyper-inflation. Back in the early 20th century Argentina was one of the wealthiest countries on Earth. Today its limping along.
