The Market On Thursday

Good morning. It is 68 degrees and overcast here in Upstate NY. It seems likely we will get some rain later on and it won't be quite as hot as yesterday. Let me tell you, it was hot yesterday. I am out working on my garage doing some rebuilding along with replacing some siding. The intention is to get a new garage door too. Anyhow, it was hot out there yesterday afternoon, I was soaked. We see that Putin is getting a lot of attention lately with the Russians to the rescue chemical disarmament plan. Not a big fan of Putin here, he seems like a megalomaniac if there ever was one.

At 8:25 a.m. ET DOW futures are slightly higher and the price of oil per barrel is slightly higher. The DOW is poised to open slightly higher.

The market has been on a nice little run these last few days. There is a pause this morning but in previous days this same alignment has occurred with a tepid start followed by a robust ending. In other words anything is possible. Investors are expressing concern about the Fed's slowing down of quantitative easing but right now no extreme compelling factor is affecting the morning.

CNN: Stocks ease back from record highs
There's not much on the economic or earnings calendar for traders to digest Thursday.

...investors are still looking for some excuses to buy.
