Poverty

Gee you mean to say that the worst recession in US history coupled with a corporate health care insurance system that bleeds everyone dry is creating more poverty?

No, go on...

Good to see the media is right on the ball with this one. I think I could have hand delivered this information to every house in the US in the time its taken for this to get out.

MSNBC: Census: Number of poor may be millions higher
The number of poor people in the U.S. is millions higher than previously known, with 1 in 6 Americans — many of them 65 and older — struggling in poverty due to rising medical care and other costs, according to preliminary census figures released Wednesday.

What did they think they're phony policies or I should say their bought for Gov't policies would produce? Exactly what we have a plutocracy that transfers most of the wealth to the top ruthlessly and never ever has enough. Next stop finish off the Unions and then Entitlements into the Wall st. meat grinder. All the while blaming their victims.

I now call it a plutocracy with democratic trimmings. Just enough trimmings to make people think its the real thing.

Amazing they could find the money to keep the rich extremely rich, bail out every damn thing in sight, but for some reason the money isn't there for SSI and medicare.

Oh and by the way if you don't have a job you're a slacker and its your fault too.
