The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is clear and unbelievably cold here in Upstate NY. The outdoor thermometer is reading "oh shit." It must be -10 to -20 out there. Good thing its not -25, now that's cold. Believe it or not, I was out walking in the predawn dark a few hours ago. I could barely move I had so many layers on. I did cut it short, only walked about 1 mile.

At 8:20 a.m. futures are slightly higher, the dollar is up across the board, and oil is down.

Although there is a certain amount of consistency in the stock market, if you talk with 5 experts, you will get 5 different opinions. Today we are getting that the market has room for upward movement. A few days ago it was its time for a pullback now.

Yes there are many corporations in America. McDonalds', American Express, and Sara Lee will be reporting on their fourth quarters soon. I know someone who worked for America Express, and this person was rolling in dough.
