HCR Is Back

Call it "HCR 2 - The Repeal"

The Republican dog and pony show impressed itself to no end with its bizarre HCR repeal bill thing.

Now that was the type of judicious use of America's money that Republicans have promised us. How else can one explain all of the costly effort in wages and hardware in order to symbolically keep alive the ghost Tea Party government with President Palin ready to sign the bill.

Look the authoritarian personality has no interest in designing policy that helps anything that is perceived to be weaker than itself. If you are poor, its your own fault. If you are sick, well its your own fault. If you are unemployed, well you are just a slacker.

I have no idea where this thing is headed but I do know that there will not be anything coming out of it that resembles good health care for all Americans.

CS Monitor: House votes to repeal health-care reform: What happens now?
Tea party activists, led in the House by Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R) of Minnesota, pledge to carry the fight for outright appeal into the 2012 elections. “We will not stop until we put a president in the White House who will repeal this,” she said.

The language over abortion rights nearly scuttled heath-care reform in the last Congress, as social conservatives broke ranks with their Democratic leaders.

...there’s room to form some kind of bipartisan support for more stringent cost controls...But on the other hand, both parties also have a stake in posturing going into 2012 elections.”
