Isn't it diabolical that ONLY right wing change is now possible in this country? Watch as Obama does this bunches bidding as if they have a mandate. This group is so far right they'll make Obama (a rightist himself) look moderate and rational. Won't stop him from slashing SSI, Medicare etc. however. The other side of this Kabuki theater the so called Dems. is now free to make all the Progressive noises it wants since they know they're is absolutely no way any of it will ever become law now. I hate to be so cynical here but the truth is were being subjected to a good cop bad cop routine by these two teams. Nobody in DC represents "the people" anymore, it's all about BIG Int'l Corps. and they're super wealthy Oligarchs owners now. Welcome to the American Empire.

We live in a plutocracy that has elements of a democracy. There are enough elements to make people think that it is a flat out democracy.

Politically we have no choices of any value excepting the rare candidate who really will work for the people. The only one making noise like that right now is Bernie Sanders in my opinion.

Plus the link between government and corporations is complete. It is in reality a fascist plutocratic state with enough democratic trimmings to fool most of the people.

The Roman and more recently the British Imperial systems are the models. Power ultimately lies in the hands of a tiny hidden elite.
