Coming Up On Wall Street

The financial journalists are not optimistic about the coming week. Last week there were signs that Europe is moving towards a tiny amount of stability, the situation in Greece has slightly improved. The famed quadruple witching is coming on Friday. Its a notoriously volatile day. Who knows what will happen but the DOW dropping below 10,000 again seems likely.

Reuters: Stocks look to Europe and U.S. economy
"We've gone through a period of extreme nervousness ... and problems haven't gone away, but I think right now, global investors are little less jittery..."

U.S. housing starts and building permits for May will be released on Wednesday.

This Friday marks the so-called "quadruple witching" period, a term used by professional traders for the quarterly settlement and expiration of four different types of June equity futures and options contracts.
CNN: Investors could be in for a bumpy ride next week
"Next week I think volatility will remain quite high due to quadruple expiration...With the market already in a downward trend, we could retest the lows we saw earlier this week."
