BP In Trouble?

Must admit to not having read all the financial reports but this is my first time seeing an article on BP going bankrupt as a result of the leak.

The talk is of $15 to $40 billion in legal expenses, and talk of the company cutting its dividend.

I'm surprised, truly. Its going against the notion of the amazing support corporate culture gets from the government at the expense of the people.

Perhaps the article is more wishful thinking in order to provide a type of mental comfort to the reader.

Yahoo: BP bankruptcy ahead? Rivals 'licking their chops'
"Flinty legal minds are dreaming up scenarios in which BP would file a prepackaged bankruptcy and separate the costs of the cleanup — and potentially billions of dollars in legal claims — into a separate corporate entity."
