McClatchy: Tar balls turn up in Florida Keys
On Monday night, the Coast Guard reported that 20 tar balls were found along the shore at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park in Key West.
...a mile-long tube inserted into a damaged well pipe on the sea floor was funneling a little more than 1,000 barrels -- or 42,000 gallons -- of oil, natural gas and water a day from the well into a drill ship at the surface.
BP will gradually increase the amount of oil siphoned from the leak to a potential maximum of about 2,000 barrels a day -- less than half the 5,000 barrels a day that the company and the U.S. Coast Guard estimate is leaking from the site.

The straw ploy is just to try and test the flow from what I'm hearing. This beast will only get worse as time goes forward. The relief wells are 90 days away. BP already is saying it will possibly drill in the same field again in the future. How is that for arrogance and I guarantee the Obama admin. will let them.
This entire period with this leak has been a disaster. Its like this black cloud in the collective psyche. BP has a serious pr problem. I will be going around their service stations.
Yea, it's kind of funny really ( not really) that BP ( AKA Bad Poluters) spent hundreds of millions these last 5 yrs. to re-work their image as the Eco-friendly Beyond Petroleum OIL energy company. Boy, was that a waste of $$. One good look at the lizard like CEO the other day was enough to dispel all of that BS propaganda. These are the worst of the worst. They should all be drawn and qtr'ed for this massive crime. Instead, we reward these creature. You figure it out?
