Enviromental Disaster

The Gulf oil spill continues relatively unabated. I think its safe to say this is possibly the worst environmental disaster in our time. We can think of Bhopal and Chernobyl, and this could be worse.

This is about as disturbing as it gets and the complete inability to stop the leaking is beyond comprehension. We have the most sophisticated military in the world, surely something can be done.

McClatchy: Gulf oil spill may be 19 times bigger than originally thought
...indicates that around 95,000 barrels, or 4 million gallons, a day of crude oil may be spewing from the leaking wellhead, 19 times the previous estimate...

"This faulty logic that BP is using is . . . raising concerns that they are hiding the full extent of the damage of this leak."
