Jersey Protest

Shades of Greece as Jersey's insolvency issues are causing austerity measures within the state budget. In the line of fire are state workers expected to accept cuts in wages and other benefits.

AJC: More than 30,000 in NJ protest state budget cuts
Christie has called for workers to accept wage freezes, and he's pushed for them to contribute toward their health benefits.

NJ is BROKE big time and it's job machine is broken as well. The people working for the public sector here don't get it. If we have no jobs we can't pay taxes which create their jobs can we. Since the State cannot print $$ like the Feds. It has to start cutting back somewhere or raise taxes on the few people who still have jobs. It's a bad situation with no easy answers.
