Whose surprised? The same methods were tried in 79' on the huge Mex. Gulf well blow out and also failed. You'd think in 31 fucking yrs. these OIL company genuises would have learned something from that and hundred other well failures with BOPS but it doesn't look that way. Pisses me off. So much for Gov't regulation as well. We pay HUGE amounts to the Feds. to do what? What exactly do they do in DC besides drink Coffee and fly around in Jets to meetings in Hawaii? I despise all of these shit bags!
I suspect they knew it would not work, just another publicity stunt to buy time for a second well drill.
The part that really angers me is BP's trying to cover this mess up with even worse chemicals. These are truly villains. Of course they will get away with this and probably not even have to pay. Worse, maybe even get bailed out.
