Typical Saks Dressed Hockey Mom

The clothes are great. I thought the knee high boots made her look a little gestapo-ish, but the red leather jacket, appropriately Republican in color.

The irony is distressing, and we imagine our Republican brethren having merde fits.

This $150,000 shopping spree is gathering more attention than a Bill Ayers hand grenade. We can only imagine the expletive laced fury of McCain when presented with this information and its implications.

Here McCain is trying to deal with the economic crisis and his running mate goes on a fantasy land shopping spree in the most exclusive department stores with the RNC's blessing. Should we send Joe the Plumber some $50 designer briefs - you know plumbers and their unintentional mooning.

Nobody in McCain's camp is thinking about these things too carefully. We want a president who has advisers that are willing to tell the president that he has mustard on his chin. They must be terrified of McCain.

This was a huge mistake and its getting more traction than Powel's endorsement which is even more amazing.

Examining the right wing blogs we are seeing no problem with Palin's wardrobe, no problems with the economy, and lots of Bill Ayers still- as if everything Ayers ever did or wrote is the same as if Obama did it.

Breitbart.com: McCain has terse response on Palin shopping spree
News of the purchases...contrasts with the image Palin has crafted as a typical hockey mom.

I read some of the rt. wingnut blogs on occassion and it amazes me how out of touch and still buried deep in their bubble these people are. It's a particular world-view that these folks live within. They're day of reckoning will soon be upon them as their worst nightmare a Black-MUSLIM takes power. Wouldn't it be funny if Obama wins pulls off his mask and he's really Huey Newton!

I think it would be an interesting study to take comments from the right wing blogs and compare them to the left blogs.

I read the comments at Huffington Post once in a while, and I used to write comments there myself. They at least allow right wing types to post and do their rants.

If you take away the particulars, the complaints are similar. At LGF they are always complaining about the media, they call it the liberal biased media of course, this is a common thing on both sides.

They actually write as if they are being victimized, that Palin is a victim of a cruel huge campaign. That important issues are deliberately being ignored by the MSM. They also resonate the talking points of the party leaders, Obama is a socialist, they are going to be living in a socialist country soon. Where the hell does this come from. It makes no sense, Obama is as much a market capitalist as anybody on either side including me. We can't go back to business as usual with the economy. Its cracked, cheap money, credit is gone. Obama is correct in identifying energy as the top priority and that it will create growth. Where I live I would say 99.9 percent of the houses have to be retrofit and made significantly more efficient. This is a huge infrastructure problem and it has to come around. And this is only one part of it.

The energy thing has been known about now for over 3 decades and nothing has been done, especially from the State! The reason is simple. The Energy crowd has understood that keeping energy affordable was the key to keeping all of us from switching to a new energy system. As technological progress and prowess have increased our ability to switch have also increased. The ONLY reasons we haven't are 1. PRICE and 2. LACK of Political will. The danger here is as OIL prices decline and gas prices along with them the public will no longer be interested in making the necessary move. IMHO this is exactly what could happen and it will take a titanic struggle to get these vampires off our collective throats. I think a compelling case can now be made that getting off the OIL habit is a Nat'l defense issue, maybe the no. 1 Nat'l defense issue for the 21st century. The Global warming issue is part of the same struggle and just ( no pun intended) adds more heat to it. In the end Obama is going to need to show tremendous political skills and tremendous courage to take on these people. Many hate him just because and many others stand to lose big time financially if the switch is ever made. Personally, I think they'll KILL him 1st. It's easier.
