I think he has been by trying to slowly erode any confidence in the credibility of the investigation up front. I think its a strategy that's working for his base only. The rest of us see it for what it is a guy who is guilty but has the power to evade Justice and is using it. Nobody is surprised.
Well, when you think about it on the surface. What has he got to lose? His only option is to fight dirty because he's guilty, he knows he's guilty, and he doesn't want the penalties that go with his guilt. Many of his supporters know he's guilty as well, they just love the way he's fighting back. We are talking about people who have lost any sense of a valued justice system, any sense of what the country should be about, all these things.
