You know here's the problem with Colbert and the other Comedians on Trumpf. Trumpf's NOT funny, nothing about him is funny. It's like doing funny pieces on Hitler or Stalin. They weren't funny either and still aren't.
Colbert's humor in relation to Trump is more about mocking him and he does this relentlessly. Colbert and Meyers are the voice for people like myself who feel the country is going in the seriously wrong direction with Trump at the helm. Colbert is very defiant, he's not finding the things about Trump that are enjoyable, like funny quirks and such, Colbert is taking issue with Trump head on. It's just one way to do it. There are unlimited ways to direct opposition to Trump. I think on a small level even when we examine Trump through the articles, and promote discussion, it's opposition. Also there are tons of people who don't read articles and are very out of the loop, Colbert gives them something to chew on.
