Salon: Las Vegas survivor renounces stance on guns after shooting - Caleb Keeter said he realized after Sunday night that he could not be a proponent of the 2nd Amendment
"I've been a proponent of the 2nd Amendment my entire life. Until the events of last night. I cannot express how wrong I was. We actually have members of our crew with [license to carry], and legal firearms on the bus. They were useless."

"We couldn't touch them for fear police might think that we were part of the massacre and shoot us. A small group (or one man) laid waste to a city with dedicated, fearless police officers desperately trying to help, because of access to an insane amount of fire power."

"Enough is enough."

ENOUGH !! Japan a country of 100 mil. has almost NO gun-related deaths yr. after yr. and the reason is simple. GUNS are heavily regulated and kept out of the hands of the public. Gun-related murder and killing in this country is an epidemic. It's sadly symptomatic of allowing the right-wing control our society from top to bottom. They believe in violence as a solution for almost everything.

I certainly agree with you. These high powered machine gun weapons don't belong in the hands of regular people. They are only intended to be used in war zones. The problem is way beyond that unfortunately, it's not that simple. The problem is the mindset of at least half of the American electorate. They are crazed about guns and their bizarre connection to the second amendment and they are addicted to the radio and news outlets that support this intense pro-gun attitude. We got a lot more worse to go.
