The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 39 degrees and overcast here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts mixed weather today and temperatures in the low 60s this afternoon. I would say roughly 99.5% of the snow cover is now gone, there's just a little bit left and after today even less. Looks like it's expected to be a very rainy week and as we know April showers bring May flowers. I hope you had a good weekend. Time to get back to seeing what's going on in the world. Some people tell themselves first thing in the morning, that they are happy because at least Trump has not blown up the world, yet.

At 9:10 a.m. ET DOW futures are +12 and the price of oil per barrel is up now trading just over $50. The market is poised to open slightly higher.

With Trump in office the news continues to be troubling, disturbing, and somewhat chaotic. In addition this morning there is an attack in Russia with many people dead. Unfortunately it's only a matter of time before the US is in a major crisis and there will be two effects. One is that people will rally behind the less than prepared president and the second is that his Russia connection woes and reality will take a back page. We also are learning that Bill O of FOX fame, is a pig. FOX has paid out nearly $13Million to keep his victims of sexual harassment quiet. Chalk up another GOPer who purports to obnoxiously tell the world what is wrong and that the GOP has the answer along with condescending stupidity, as just another run of the mill arrogant pig.
