The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 73 degrees and cloudy here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts a cloudy day with temperatures in the high 80s this afternoon. Well it's going to be one heck of a week. If Clinton maintains her present lead over Trump through the week, based on previous elections, she has a 90% chance of winning in November. Plus we have a new article from the New York Times indicating that Manafort may in fact be the dirtiest of all the main principles in this election on both sides. Whoa, I have the article's link posted, a few posts lower down. Trump has some explaining to do and no doubt it will come down to a 'very dishonest' and 'failing' New York Times. Unless, of course, he says that but he was just being 'sarcastic', hard to tell.

At 8:55 a.m. ET futures are moderately higher and the price of oil per barrel is up now trading close to $45 a barrel. The market is poised to open higher.

Recall that last week, Saudi Arabia's oil minister stated that the Saudis would be interested in dialing the oil spigot back a notch to support the price of oil. Just on that word alone, oil has rebounded $5 more per barrel. Keep this in mind because if they actually ever did turn the spigot down, oil prices will fly. The last two years of relatively cheap gas would be over in no time.
