Possible Habitable Exoplanet

Science Daily: Planet found in habitable zone around nearest star - Pale Red Dot campaign reveals Earth-mass world in orbit around Proxima Centauri
summary - Astronomers have found clear evidence of a planet orbiting the closest star to Earth, Proxima Centauri. The long-sought world, designated Proxima b, orbits its cool red parent star every 11 days and has a temperature suitable for liquid water to exist on its surface. This rocky world is a little more massive than the Earth and is the closest exoplanet to us -- and it may also be the closest possible abode for life outside the Solar System.

One BIG problem with Proxima b as they're calling it. It's tidally locked to it's star Proxima Centaur i which is the closest star to ours. Like the moon to us it only shows the star the same face which mean it's probably too hot and too cold for life to exist in much more then microbial states. Plus, we don't even know if it has water or even an atmosphere yet. Nevertheless, what it tells us is somewhere out there is indeed an Earth like world. Where and how far away though is anybodies guess.

I wish I could see what happens way down the road.
