Guardian UK: Wildfires raging near LA are ‘0% contained’, say authorities - A searing heatwave and rugged terrain have hindered firefighter efforts to tackle two blazes burning out of control in the Angeles national forest
The south coast air quality management district said the warning level on its air quality index was red. “Most important recommendation for anyone who can see or smell smoke is avoid outdoor activity and the stay indoors, use air conditioning system on recirculation mode, if available,” said Tina Cox, a spokeswoman.

So. Calif is and always has been a coastal and Mt. desert area. AGW will make an even drier desert and eventually it will be like Baha Calif to it's immediate south, which is a super dry desert most of the year. Almost all the AGW computer models have predicted this outcome for yrs. , so it's no surprise we're witnessing it happen now. LA will need to build desalinization plants before long, San Diego just completed a big one.
As the temperatures rise where do they go from here. I mean how do the causes and conditions that led to these fires, how does this that get any better when we are facing rising temperatures and extreme weather.
